What is Skyfall?

Skyfall puts every player on a single flat floor, legs pumping, running back and forth with no idea what's coming. Above them a grinning menace rides a cloud and drops spiked balls onto the crowd. A hit is instant elimination.

The floor closes in as the game runs and the drops come faster, so the survivors get squeezed into an ever smaller space. It's pure luck dressed up as a near miss - and the room will be shouting at people who can't hear them.

How to play Skyfall

  1. Your crew sprints across the floor on their own - nobody controls anything.
  2. Spiked balls drop from the cloud. A direct hit eliminates you instantly.
  3. The floor narrows as the game runs. Last runner standing wins.

Frequently asked questions

Can players dodge the balls?

No - the runners move on their own and never look up. Whether a ball lands on you comes down to where your legs happened to take you.

What if the last two players are hit at the same time?

The winner is drawn at random between them and the result is shown as a photo finish, so a round always ends with exactly one winner.

Do players need an app or account?

No downloads. The game runs on your big screen, and for the phone-based quiz games players simply open a link in their browser - no account, no install.

Can I use photos of my own team?

Yes. Add each player with a photo and Tombola automatically removes the background so everyone shows up as their own character in the game.

How many players can join?

Anything from a handful to a hundred. Tombola is built for everything from a small standup to a full company all-hands.

Is Tombola free to try?

Yes - you can start for free and subscribe when you're ready. See the pricing page for the current plans.
